Abstract

At the moment by expanding information technology and telecommunications specially growth of IP based Application, giving very solution good for to world television. A lot of matter which we can exploit from IP (internet protocol), start from delivery of news items through internet ( feeding via IP), peripatetic broadcast live with video streaming, monitoring of district transmitter with video streaming up to IPTV. IPTV ( internet protocol television) as newest technology after TV satellite represent amendable new service as added value packet of koneksi internet xDSL, where by exploiting one band phone ordinary PSTN ( copper cable) we can enjoy much service. Technological type of DSL Applied at this final project is ADSL (Asymmetric Digital Subscribe Line). Media used for this IPTV service that is using network Speedy from PT Telkom where this network was added value from local network accessed copper that is actually only had bandwith 64 Kbps but with addition of peripheral ADSL so this network can result bandwith until 384 Kbps. Based on measurement and calculating data of case study in STO Bandung Centrum and parameter standart of PT Telkom, only 35 % of sample access rate speedy can use IPTV service. So this network needs correction performance to increase access rate of speedy in order that implementation can be used of multimedia service, one of them is IPTV.
