Abstract

We have designed a system using SMS media for delivery of information to be displayed on the LCD display board. Microcontroller can not read the information directly but there must be a gateway interface that receives the SMS message which converts it into information that can be processed by the microcontroller to be shown on the Information Board In accordance with the contents of the SMS sent. Microcontroller also regulate where the SMS data should be shown what is not by comparing the data sender's SMS mobile phone number with the number you've registered on the microcontroller. That way only the SMS information from mobile numbers that have been registered in the microcontroller that will be displayed on the board such information. The system hardware is made by using Microcontroller ATmega 8535, the LCD board 16 x 2, and an HP support AT commad as an SMS gateway. Voltage regulator for the stability of the system and IC RS-232 as a bridge between HP and the microcontroller. To use the software program with BASCOM-AVR basic programming using basic language. The system works with good, new SMS in the inbox HP Siemens ME-45 can be read by the microcontroller in the form of an SMS PDU data then converted by a microcontroller program back in the form of text that can be displayed on the LCD based on HP's text sent by the sender. From some of the measurement results obtained that the regulator circuit works well. The output voltage of 4.99 VDC regulator for input voltages between 5 until 12 VDC. Microcontroller IC circuit, LCD, RS-232 IC cukub good work on the working voltage 4.97 VDC. Range 4.5-5.5 VDC voltage IC.
